School Day Programs
Infant–Jr. Kindergarten
Wooddale Academy offers a School Day Early Childhood/Preschool program at our Eden Prairie location from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, September 2, 2025 – August 31, 2026.
Eden Prairie Location ONLY: Extended Care Option (2025-26 school year) offered Monday–Thursday for students ages 3 to 5 from 4:30 – 5 p.m.
Wooddale Academy provides a safe, secure and enriching environment for play-based learning to take place. Teachers implement the Learning Beyond Paper Curriculum, which follows a collaborative learning approach designed to create learning opportunities for children through peer-based activities and intentional interactions with their teachers. Parents receive daily communication via the Procare App and meet with teachers three times throughout the year for parent-teacher conferences. Students participate in onsite and offsite activities, including community outreach events and a monthly fun and energetic chapel experience with Wooddale Children’s Ministry.

Infant (Age: 6 weeks-15 months)
5-day | Monday-Friday
Our youngest children are offered a warm, nurturing and responsive environment taught by high-quality, dedicated educators. Classrooms offer designated play and exploration spaces as well as a separate quiet, calm serene sleeping area. Children are observing, bonding, connecting and developing new skills at their own pace.
Toddler (Age: 16 months-2 years)
5-day | Monday-Friday
The toddler environment is carefully designed to encourage more independent free play. At this age, there is a balance of child-led exploration, with a focus on the fine motor, gross motor and cognitive skills developing. Educators are engaging with this young group as they delight in new exploration.
Jr. Preschool (Age: 2-3 years)
5-day | Monday-Friday
Junior Preschoolers are filled with gusto! They will be provided with hands-on experiences, observation opportunities and amazing classroom experiences. Children at this age are ready for exploration and our classrooms offer all that and more! Our high-energy teaching staff provides students with opportunities to learn through play with thoughtful planning and preparation.
Preschool (Age: 3-4 years)

3-day | Monday/Wednesday/Friday
2-day | Tuesday/Thursday
This warm and welcoming classroom is bustling with lots of opportunities for interaction. Hands-on learning, active play, socializing with classmates and creative spaces are designed to be engaging. Periodically, children will enjoy learning in the outdoor nature space as well. The day is filled with much exploration and a balance of both child-led and structured activities.
Pre-K (Age: 4-5 years)
4/5-day | Monday-Friday
3-day | Monday/Wednesday/Friday
2-day | Tuesday/Thursday
The Pre-K class offers students the opportunity to increase their knowledge of the world around them. Periodically, children will spend time exploring woodlands, marshes and ponds located on Wooddale Academy’s campus. This specialized learning environment with both an indoor and outdoor classroom increases engagement, enhances discovery and connects children to the amazing outdoors.
Jr. Kindergarten (Age: 5 years by Oct. 2025)
5-day | Monday-Friday
Eden Prairie location only
Jr. Kindergarten is specifically designed for children who have missed the Kindergarten cutoff or would like the gift of extra time before Kindergarten. Children will focus on math skills, writing and beginning reading in preparation for the transition to kindergarten. This 5-day program is offered to children who are currently or soon to be 5 years of age.
