We understand that choosing an early childhood program is an important decision, and we’re honored that you are considering Wooddale Academy. Our goal is for students to be more prepared for the primary grades ahead, academically as well as socially and emotionally. At Wooddale Academy, we’re passionate about sharing a lifelong love of learning, and we’re committed to maintaining a high-quality Christian environment where seeds of faith are planted, knowledge is built and character is developed.
History and Core Values
Wooddale Academy was formed in 1970 to support parents and children through a creative environment teaching Christian values, diversity and fellowship within the whole community. We understand that the future growth of each child stems from these vital early years.
The teachers at Wooddale Academy strive to foster the child’s emotional, social, spiritual, intellectual and physical development. Our core values include love, faith, integrity and respect, with emphasis placed on respecting others, our school and ourselves.
We also believe that instilling healthy eating habits at an early age prepares children for a lifetime of success. It’s important for us to help each child grow to their fullest potential, both developmentally and physically. That’s why our program offers organic foods whenever possible, healthy menus (that change weekly) and an onsite chef who prepares a delicious variety of flavors.
Exceptional Leadership
Executive Director Melissa Brown joined the Wooddale Academy team in May 1999 as a preschool teacher with a passion for young children and families. Her vision and leadership have grown the Academy by offering a variety of new options in both full and half-day programs. Wooddale Academy is a safe, supportive, encouraging environment where families build lasting relationships and are supported by the entire Wooddale community. We look forward to partnering alongside you and your entire family through your child’s early years and beyond.
